NHER 13706 (Monument record) - Site of possible Bronze Age barrow

Summary

It is recorded that a round hill in this area may have been the remains of a Bronze Age barrow. However, it is believed that the feature had disappeared by the 19th century, and the area is now covered by modern housing.

Barrow marked on map by Woodward and mentioned by him in (S1) as being the 'round hill close just outside the gates.'
The implication is that it was not there in his time, i.e. the 1820s, but he had seen records of it there in earlier days.
Perhaps same as 'Tumulus on Hall Road near Harford Hall' (S2).
Perhaps natural - R. R. Clarke (NCM).
Area now covered in housing. See (S3).
