Summary

This field is recorded as being called Deadman's Close and it is thought that there may have been a barrow on this field although this can no longer be seen. A Neolithic polished flint axehead was found here.

Field south of Brancaster Field House Farm is known as Deadman's Close.
Site was visited by R. R. Clarke (NCM) September 1935 but nothing visible.

In this field was found part of a Neolithic chipped and polished flint axe.

Confirmed a flat field under wheat with one large pit, nothing resembling a barrow.
