Full Description
Southwest corner of Buttlands, by Water Pit Lane.
Built 1450, removed from Ware, Hertfordshire to this site and under reconstruction 1978.
Photographs show a timber framed house on a reconstructed brick ground floor.
See newspaper cuttings (S1) in file.
1 February 1979.
Site visited and grid reference corrected.
Timber framed part of house had tarred cloth nailed over it so not much was visible. Not yet completed.
