Map

Cropmarks of earthworks, perhaps small rectangular enclosure.
Seen on (S1) by A. Gregory (NAU)

On ground, possible ditches to west, south and east; all shallow, maximum depth about 0.3m.
Interior shows variation in grass colour.
Whole in pasture field.
Possible further platform adjacent to road and other low indeterminate earthworks to west.
Grazed at present.
Outline permission for development outstanding.
See form in file.
H. Paterson (A&E) 1991.

The ditches visible on the aerial photograph, and the other earthworks to the west, all appear to be drainage ditches running south to the stream, with low mounds of dredgings along them, as commonly seen in water meadows in the area.
The postulated south arm of the enclosure seems to be just a flatter area.
E. Rose (NLA), 13 February 1992.
