Summary

An early 18th-century brick house with a five bay central block attached to later 18th-century flanking wings. The flint and brick garden wall to the north dates to the mid 19th century.

Listing Description excerpt:
"House, c.1710. Painted brick with stone dressings. Centre block with steep hipped slated roof with dentilled eaves cornice. Two and three storeys. 1:3:1 bays, three-bay centre pedimented and three storeys, slightly projecting with quoins, bands and keyblocks, one bay flanking two storeys...Later 18th century flanking wings, also painted brick with hipped slate roof with dentilled eaves cornices, two bays, right three storeys, left two storeys, sashes with glazing bars and keyblocks...Brick chimney stacks."

A mid-19th-century garden wall to the north of Loddon House was also Listed in 1951 (at Grade II) - this is now recorded separately as NHER 65257.

About 1711, altered 1720 to 1730.
5 bay central block with brick quoins, including on central three projecting bays, which also have an extra storey with Venetian window reaching into broken pediment, before mansard slate roof.
4 bay smaller attachments with pyramidal roofs.
Central Corinthian doorway with high quality wrought iron screen.
Rear elevation same as front (east).
Excellent condition.
