Summary

These timber framed wattle and daub cottages were built around 1600. They have two storeys built on a flint and brick plinth and a thatched roof. Inside the interior frame is complete and there are ceiling beams and a fireplace bressumer.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Two Cottages. c.1600. Timber-framed with rendered wattle and daub infill under thatched roof. Two storeys on brick and flint plinth. Doors to left and right of centre both 20th century...Interior timber frame complete, close studded with middle rail. Bridging beams with tongue stops and similar bressummer to lounge fireplace. One pair of tie beams on arched braces survives below roof structure of clasped purlins, collars and arched wind- bracing."
