Summary

The name 'Dead Man's Grove' recorded on a field map of 1817 suggested there may be burials here but a watching brief during the construction of a cable trench recorded no features or finds from this site.

April 1999. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of trench excavated for the laying of electricity cables.
Several ditches encountered at site NHER 34432. These were undated and possibly post-medieval. No archaeological objects recovered.
