Map

Around 1939. Stray Find.
Prehistoric worked flints found by [1] in new ditch dug along south-east side of Wells's Lane.
See (S1) in file, though orientation is slightly out on this.
Information from (S2).

According to the available records these flints were given to the Norwich Castle Museum. The accession number listed (NWHCM : 1942.15) indicates that these finds were accessioned along with the large collection of material recovered at the nearby Dean's Pit site (NHER 11071). Although it has been suggested that there finds have been confused with the flints recorded as being found at Dean's Pit this seems unlikely.
Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 7 January 2014.
