'Pot kiln' marked on (S1) just west of The Lodge; not on (S2) (1797) or (S3) (1826).
Information from NCM.

4 July 1979. Visit.
Exact location (buildings marked on Ordnance Survey) given by farmer.
He says despite the name this was a kiln for making pantiles. It had an underground chamber formed of bricks set on end and brick walls with a building over the top.
It was destroyed in about 1940 and site is now a ploughed field.
