Full Description
Slightly L-shaped building; at east end of north front is a gable end facing north, bearing a straight gable over a large false window. Below, two pairs of pedimented windows, one on each floor. Across join with west wing is porch tower with shaped gable and two moulded string courses. Other north windows have been altered, but string course continues. Dentilled cornice. West gable shaped. Original chimney. Possibly north gable is around 1600 and west wing slightly later, but perhaps difference in brickwork is due to the later alterations, and whole is first half of 17th century. Large thatched barn (gable now replaced by corrugated iron), brick, and other outbuildings contemporary.
Estate agent's details in file.
Visited by E. Rose (NAU), 21 September 1978.
