1924. In digging new river at Denver Sluice.
Salt glazed jug, mottled brown, bulbous body and narrow neck; handle missing.
18cm high, 13cm maximum diameter, base diameter 8.5cm, neck diameter 6cm.

No record of any river being dug at Denver Sluice in 1924, unless it was a widening of some sort.

(S1) in entry for sluice (NHER 19692) states gates were replaced in 1928, but gives no indication that the sluice was widened; perhaps found during alterations of gates?

There was an 'enlargement' of the sluice in 1923 according to Norfolk County Council.
