Full Description
Spring 1978. On ploughed surface.
Roman coarse ware and lava mill stone fragment.
2 Thetford-type ware sherds, one rim and one rouletted body sherd.
Lava mill stone fragment.
13th to 15th century sherds and 16th to 17th century.
Autumn 1978.
Grimston green glazed sherds, 3 late medieval sherds 13th/15th century.
6 Roman coarseware, lava mill stone fragment.
3 rims and 1 sherd 11th/12th century.
Also 16th to 17th century sherds, and brick and tile of unknown date.
February 2003. Desk-based Assessment and Walkover Survey.
Assessment of A140 Long Stratton Bypass preliminary route option (Modified Route 5; Field F).
Good visibility, single prehistoric flint flake recovered.
