Pinfold. Pound, now preserved; surprisingly seems to have been made after the enclosure of the heath.

November 1978. Visit.
However, the 1833 enclosure award indicates that Greatheath Road and the Pinfold were laid out before the actual enclosures were made.

Scheduling Description:
Small brick pound, early 19th century, rectangular with gate to southeast. Well preserved. The pound is depicted on maps dating from 1833 and the Tithe Map of 1839 gives the name of the field immediately to the north west as Pound Close. A metal plaque attached to the south east wall reads 'North Elmham Pound used for penning stray animals. Built c1830'.
