Summary

A mid 17th century timber framed house, with a thatched roof, and later alterations. Medieval and post medieval pottery has been found in the garden of the house, and the house probably stands on the site of a medieval house.

Exterior and roof all of 1940s, but inside some studding and fireplace (seen through window) suggest a 16th/17th century date.

This site is recorded as Med 23A in (S2). A messuage is recorded on the site of Med 23 in about 1400. From about 1560 this site was amalgated with Med 23, see NHER 20613.
