Full Description
29 October 1978.
Medieval sherds found near filled pond.
W. Milligan (NCM).
Reidentified 1988 by A. Rogerson (NAU) as:
Two Roman greyware, seventy-one medieval unglazed, thirteen medieval glazed including one Grimston. Four late medieval/transitional, seven glazed red earthenware, lump of shelly limestone. Fragment of decorated garden pot in Coade stone or similar. One medieval unglazed in separate bag.
These finds extend scatter over all field, and are marked Context 1.
Above grid reference (TM 1765 9185) is called Context 2 though very likely it refers to the same finds.
