Summary

Over one hundred sherds of post medieval pottery, possibly debris from a pottery kiln, were found during fieldwalking in the 1970s. Metal-detecting in 2004 recovered a fragment of a Late Saxon bridle cheek piece from this site.

Material known to have been recovered during NARG fieldwalking on bypass route. See note [1].
A. Rogerson (NAU) identified about 100 post medieval sherds, mostly green brown glazed, perhaps debris from a kiln.
Also stoneware, and brick and tile.
