Summary

An early 18th century farmhouse that was greatly enlarged in 1825. The house has curving gables, one of which is dated 1716.

Very fine farmhouse, chequered brick, dated 1716 with IP in black bricks.
3 bays, 2 storeys with moulded stringcourse (2 on gable walls).
Gables shaped (not stepped, as Pevsner).
Central 4-in-one chimney.
Blocked doorway on west front very near a window, probably inserted later then blocked again.
Visited by E. Rose (NAU) 7 December 1978.
