Summary

A scatter of medieval pottery fragments was noted to the west of Babingley Church in 1976 and traces of a possible building. A possible hearth and a fragment of burnt lead were reported to have been seen in 1980.

On ploughed surface about 500m west of Babingley church.
Medieval sherd scatter over half an acre, including glazed sherds and stabbed handle.
To southeast trace of possible building.
In (S1) informant [1] also claims Thetford-type ware.

February to March 1980.
Patch of burnt clay and fragment of burnt lead reported by [2].
