Summary

In 1978 dredging of the River Thet from above Nun's Bridges to the old footbridge in Nether Row produced Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery sherds. In 1983 diving in the river at this point recovered a nearly complete human skull and millstone fragment.

Produced much good 16th-19th century earthenware, three medieval sherds and one Thetford ware sherd.

Context 2. Near complete human skull with front missing at location [1].
Context 3. Lava millstone fragment approximately 1in thick.
