Summary

A 19th century map depicted a lime kiln at this location. Archaeological observations in 1998 recorded a feature that may have been associated with it, but further observations in 2000 did not encounter any archaeological remains. According to an 18th century map a set of gallows existed here, although it seems more likely that the original gallows were to the west of here (NHER 34733).
