1978. Stray Find.
On ploughed surface:
1 undated stone pestle or pounder, 6cm wide at centre, tapering to 2.75cm at butt; 26cm long; in shape a tapering cylinder, rounded out on butt and head facets.
Material identified by [1] as Sarsen sandstone perhaps from Wiltshire.
Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1983.396).

The recorded dimensions of this object suggest that it is of a very similar size to another stone pestle-like object that was recovered at Ashill in 1975, near Moat Farm (NHER 61184).
