Full Description
1979. Stray Find. [1].
Found whilst digging dyke at [2]:
1 prehistoric irregular discoidal quartzite macehead with 'hour-glass' perforation. Donated to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1979.93). See sketch (S1). Information from (S2).
Probably what would now be described as a pebble mace. These objects are not closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.
