Summary

Prehistoric perforated pebble macehead found near edge Feltwell parish in 1963. These objects are not closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.

1963. Stray Find.
Prehistoric pebble macehead. Now held by King's Lynn Museum (KILLM : 1963.54.1; A589). According to the museum's records this object was found at TL 692 895. This object is described by F. Healy (S1) as possibly quartzite with hour-glass perforation and both ends battered. It is labelled as being from 'Feltwell/Hockwold boundary, which is consistent with the grid ref. listed.
These objects are not closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.
