Summary

A Neolithic flint plano convex knife, a Neolithic stone axe and a flint tanged Beaker period dagger were found here before 1974. Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered a scatter of prehistoric worked and burnt flints, and two concentrations of burnt flints.

Plano convex knife and stone axe. Also a tanged Beaker dagger.

6 April 1988. Fenland fieldwalking, weathered soil, young crop.
Also Context 1.
General scatter; flints and pot boilers. No concentrations other than Contexts 2 and 3, although in places small spread of pot boilers, and in one place several blades. FWL FE.

Context 2 at 6862 8955.
Concentration pot boilers, sparse, locally moderate and couple of flints on north side of chalk marl ridge spreading over top, 22m northeast to southwest x 20m northwest to southeast at 0.9m OD. FWL 187.

Context 3 at 6849 8935.
Concentration pot boilers sparse to moderate and flints, a few only, on north side curving ridge of chalk loam which had a sandy feel to it. 20m northeast to southwest x 15m northwest to southeast at 0.8-1.0m OD. FWL 188.
