Summary

Various worked flints including a Mesolithic microlith, a Neolithic flint axe, a leaf arrowhead and three barbed and tanged flint arrowheads were found here before 1974. The exact nature of their discovery is unclear. Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered prehistoric, Neolithic and Beaker period worked flints, prehistoric burnt flints and fragments of medieval pottery. Metal-detecting in 2005 recovered an Early Bronze Age copper alloy flanged axehead.

Pre 1972. Stray Find.
Various objects found by F. Curtis.
From Curtis Field 81 (at approximately [1]; Context 2):.
1 Neolithic flint axe
From Curtis Field 82 (at approximately [2]; Context 3; previously recorded as NHER 14642):
1 Neolithic leaf arrowhead
3 Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowheads.
These finds are listed in (S1). According to (S2) the Curtis Catalogues also records the following additional objects as having been recovered from these fields:
1 Mesolithic 'microlith'.
3 scrapers.
