Summary

Neolithic and Beaker period worked flints, including arrowheads, a knife and a chisel, were found here before 1977. The exact nature of their discovery is unknown. Fieldwalking recovered fragments of possible Bronze Age pottery and further fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey found prehistoric worked and burnt flints and fragments of Iron Age, Roman and medieval pottery.

Long scatter of coarse pottery. Called Bronze Age but not seen NCM. This is site NHER 12711 but is called NHER 14646 Context 3 where it crosses this field.
