Summary

In 1979 a Roman copper alloy coin of the emperor Constantine I, minted between AD 307 and 337, was recovered in the parish of Snettisham. The exact location and nature of this discovery is unclear, but it is thought to have been picked up from the surface.

Bronze follis coin of Constantine I, AD 307-337. Said to be a surface find. Very worn.
Obverse with Laureate head with cuirass, reads CONSTANTINVS P F AVG.
Reverse with ?Sol with whip and globe, reads (?COMITI) AVGG NN.
Mintmark almost illegible, probably PLN (London).
