Summary

A Neolithic axehead may have been found here before 1974. Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered a scatter of worked flints.

F. Healy (NAU) notes that whereas [1]'s version of Curtis's finds puts field 141 at this grid reference, (S1) does not mark the field, but the catalogue entry for the axe says 'field'141 Willow Holt'. (S1) seems to mark Willow Holt as the wood just west of this field, so the axe may come from there.
