Full Description
Pre 1981. Stray Find.
Subcircular quartzite pebble macehead with hour-glass perforation. Petrology No. N180. Listed in Curtis catalogue. Information from (S1), where this is described as a 'pebble hammer'. These objects are not closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.
