Summary

In 1979 a worn Roman sestertius coin of the emperor Lucius Verus, minted between 161 and 169, was recovered from this area. Previously, in 1977, part of the rim of a medieval Grimston Ware jug was also recovered in this area.

Surface find. Very worn. Obverse reads: fairly clear with faint VERVS. Reverse is illegible.

Part of rim of medieval Grimston Ware jug, green glazed.
Also part of thumb-pressed handle.
