Summary

Fieldwalking in advance of the building of the A10 recovered a prehistoric flint blade, a prehistoric flint scraper and a Late Saxon or early medieval pot handle.

May 1978. On surface of field in fieldwalking in advance of construction of new A10 road. About 650m southwest of Modney Bridge.
Flint blade and small round scraper, medieval body sherd and round sectioned handle in Grimston-Thetford ware (fabric all right, but an odd form).
Flints identified by F. Healy (NAU).
Pottery identified by A. Rogerson (NAU), 21 March 1979.
