Summary

In 1978 fieldwalking conducted in advance of the construction of the new A10 road found five prehistoric worked flints and two sherds of 16th century pottery. Subsequent fieldwalking in 1988 recovered more medieval pottery sherds and prehistoric flints.

May 1978. About 500m southwest of Northfield House - Context 1. Found on surface of fields in fieldwalking in advance of construction of new A10 road.
Scatter of finds over road corridor, about 500m long, in two fields. Five worked flints including two blades, and two sherds of 16th century pottery.
