In meadows at Lakenham Mill.
Medieval sword. Two edged, 93cm (36 1/2 inches) long, 1.05kg (2 pounds 5 ounces), large pommel. In excellent condition except for notched edges. Inlaid red gold on each side of blade in form of bugle, and also on one side in form of cross.From the time of Richard II? Human skeleton found nearby, and sword was tinged blue from its decomposition.
