Summary

In 1979 a number of objects were found at this location, including Roman and medieval pottery sherds, a piece of Roman or medieval lava quern and a medieval or post-medieval horseshoe. Metal-detecting in 2023 recovered a medieval gold finger ring.

Found in field opposite North Farm (Dairy Farm on (S1)), on ploughed surface at approximately [2]:
Roman coarse grey body sherd and fragment of Mayen (Niedermendig) lava.
12 medieval sherds and horseshoe with six nail holes and groove (could be post medieval).

Medieval gold 'stirrup-shaped' finger ring.
Information from PAS import.
This gold finger ring was returned to the finder after being disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2023 T896).
Site extended to the whole field. Previous extent mapped as a point at [2].
