14 July 1979. On top of scarp down to edge of saltmarsh, on camping site. Found on grass covered surface and subsequently used as hammer to drive in tent pegs.
Fragment of Rhineland lava quern, large, 23cm by maximum 14cm by 7cm thick, diameter approximately 40cm.

Found on slope at edge of saltmarsh, protruding from bank in patch of red earth.
Rim sherd, flint gritted, reddish, Iron Age.
