South of New Road in marshes. Site of Palmer's Mill, hollow post drainage mill.
Removed to Upton for restoration 1976. See (S1).

This was the second mill on the site and was built about 1900 by Smithdale's. Palmer was the owner of the bakery at Calthorpe Cottages in Acle and used the field to keep ponies. The mill last worked about 1920. Information from restorer. See (S2).
