Full Description
World War Two airfield.
30 August 1979. Site visited by E. Rose (NAU).
Runways still down; at least two hangars remain.
Powder store is still in use.
Airfield originally served by Blenheims and Bostons of 2 Group in 1940 later Mosquitoes of 100 Group, then bomber support base 1940 to 1945.

The mapped extent of this record had been largely confined to the extent of the former runways only [1]. It has been amended to include surrounding hangars and buildings as seen on aerial photographs taken in 1946 (S4).
