Summary

This location as the site of a gibbet or gallows on Faden's 1797 map. Trial trenching at this location in 2015 did not encounter any physical remains of a gibbet site. See NHER 61664 for further details of the excavation.

A programme of archaeological work undertaken between 2000 and 2015 revealed no finds or sub-surface remains associated with this gibbet site.
