1978. Metal detecting.
Field south of river, east of Brierhill Covert.
Copper alloy enamelled armorial plaque, for decorating a chest or similar.
Shield shaped but cut down.
Arms of England; gules 3 lions passant guardant in pale or, a label of five points azure.
Pre 1340, when Edward III quartered arms of England with those of France.
Label of 3 or 5 points used by Edward II and III during lifetime of father.
