Full Description
North side of Heath Road. Site of wind mill. Marked on Faden's map 1797.
E. Rose (NAU) 25 September 1979.
Grid reference corrected by [1] who states that Faden is incorrect. It was east of Mill Road. The roundhouse of this post mill remains. Blown over in 1915.
E. Rose (NAU) 29 January 1982.
February 2026. HER Enhancement: Forestry Commission Project K.
The surviving round house associated with the above post medieval post mill is visible on aerial photographs from 1999 (S2) but obscured by vegetation on more recent aerial photographs (for example S3). It is likely that the ruined round house still survives beneath the area of vegetation.
J. Powell (Norfolk County Council Environment Service), 10 February 2026
