Map

4 October 1979. North side Star Lane.
Barn (now garage); small, timber framed, leaning slightly to west but in good condition. 16th or 17th century.
E. Rose (NAU).

Revisited 9 January 1984 when proposed to convert to house.
Rectangular, aligned north to south gable-on to road. Studwork visible; straight braces in east wall and north gable, but south gable wall has inverted arched braces above modern garage doors. In upper part north end west wall a blocked 6-light mullioned window, but apparently of late date. This wall at least seems to be of clay lump.
South Norfolk District Council date as 18th century, but 17th century date might be possible.
Gutted in past for conversion to garage.
E. Rose (NAU), 9 November 1985.

Proposed conversion never carried out.
Plans for a second proposal in 1994 are in file.
