Summary
A lens of charcoal was observed in a pipe trench in 1979. The feature is similar to a hearth of unknown date observed nearby, see NHER 15351.

Full Description
2 October 1979. North of Newman's Farm.
Seen in sides of 200mm pipe trench at depth of 0.75m, in heavy clayey subsoil (depth after topsoil removed).
Lens of charcoal 10cm thick, 0.5m across.
