1 Palaeolithic pointed flint handaxe. Broken, heavily rolled and stained brown. See sketch (S1).
Identified by A.J. Lawson (NAU), 12 October 1979. Information from (S2). See finder's map (S3) in file.
This find was first reported in (S4) and is also listed in (S5), (S6) and (S7), although no additional is given. See (S8) for an additional brief description.
Subsequently donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1998.407.6)

See NHER 15361 for details of Mesolithic worked flints found during this work.
P. Watkins (HES), 22 April 2013.

1984.
'Some of finds' from this site, NHER 15197, 15359 and 15361 to 15363 said by finder to be in British Museum. See file letter in file for NHERs 15359-15363. It should however be noted that many of the finder's finds were donated to the NCM in 1992 and it is quite possible that material from this site was part of this collection.
Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 22 April 2013.
