Summary

Metal detecting in this area during the period 1979-83 recovered a variety of multi period metal objects. Finds of note included an Iron Age coin of the Iceni tribe, a medieval lead ampulla, a gilt bronze medieval bell and part of a post medieval Jew's harp.

Full Description

1979. Found with metal detector. Roman and medieval coins and metalwork, Middle Saxon pin.
1980. Casual find. Roman and medieval pottery.
1983. Found with metal detector. Roman, Early Saxon or Late Saxon bucket mount, medieval horse harness mount (S1) and a medieval bell (S2).
1999. Medieval coin found.
