Summary

The original No 72 was a small brick and flint four-roomed cottage attached to the south gable wall of a 17th-century (or earlier) terrace (see NHER 13364). It is thought that this building is not marked on the 1810 map, and may be a later build in an earlier style. After being recorded in 1979 it was demolished and rebuilt.
