Summary

Metal detecting in this area during 1979 recovered Roman and medieval coins and a medieval harness pendant from a building site. These artefacts may be associated with a trackway and ditches that are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and are recorded as NHER 27474.

Full Description

July to August 1979. Metal detecting. Field immediately north of Caister cemetery, opposite west end of Branford Road.
Found during earthmoving and trenching for new houses.
