Summary

A windmill is known to have been situated on this hill as early as 1675. By the time the mill structure was demolished during World War One, it was a post mill. The earthworks of this windmill mound are visible on aerial photographs. A series of earthworks relating to land divisions potentially of a broadly contemporary date have also been included within this site. The level of earthwork survival is not completely clear from the aerial photographs and available lidar data.
