Summary

Fieldwalking from the 1960s onwards has recovered a number of pottery sherds from the Roman to post medieval periods, as well as undated metal working debris and building materials associated with possible Saxon or medieval buildings. Metal detecting has also recovered a small number of medieval objects.

1960-1979. Fieldwalking.
Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery.
Finds in NCM.

1980-1. Fieldwalking and metal detecting.
Middle Saxon, Late Saxon and medieval pottery and few metal items.

1984. Fieldwalking.
Late Saxon and medieval pottery and metalwork.

22 November and 1 December 1995. Fieldwalking and metal detecting in poor conditions.
Iron slag and medieval sherds in two findspots.
