15 January 1980. Visit. Three houses forming northeast corner of Common Place.
Two storeyed, jettied buildings, with timbering exposed on upper floors. Western house of the group has flint infill, altered windows, and a brick fossil quoin at east end ground floor, former doorway? Central house has a flint ground floor wall, brick nogging between timbers of jettied storey, and windows conforming to the original size. Eastern house of group totally restored. Upper storey jettied, but in the replaced timbers here can be seen the marks of former windows. Visible old work seems 16th century.
