Summary

This is the site of a post medieval mill, which may have stood on the site since the late 16th century. This mill was replaced by a tower mill in the late 18th century, which was demolished during the construction of the new railway station in the 1880s.

Site of North wind mill.
In 1825 it was claimed that this mill had been here since 1673. Pulled down for the railway station in about 1880.

(S2) marks a mill on this site, calls it North Mill.
It was a post mill but had been rebuilt as a tower mill by 1770.
The mill closed in 1877 though not destroyed until a few years later.
